YOUNG BOYS VS AJAX.
what had been billed as a tricky tie, Ajax cruised past Young Boys in last week’s Last 16 first-leg skirmish in Amsterdam to build a 3-0 lead that should ensure their second encounter with the Swiss outfit is a formality on Thursday.
The Dutch giants mustered a whopping 21 attempts to Young Boys’ one at the Johan Cruijff ArenA during an utterly dominant display, and Ajax’s superior class should tell again when the teams reconvene for the second-leg in Switzerland.
Young Boys are without a victory in their last five attempts in all competitions, and with the tie virtually over already, manager Gerardo Seoane could even be tempted to rest some of his better players with an eye on more pressing domestic matters.
Prediction:Ajax to win.
AC MILLAN VS MANCHESTER UNITED.
There was not much to separate AC Milan and Manchester United during last week’s first-leg at Old Trafford, but Simon Kjaer’s injury-time strike did hand the Rossoneri a potentially crucial away goal.
However, Milan’s form at the San Siro has been patchy at best of late, as they have failed to win any of their last four games on home soil.
Indeed, Milan have only won once in six on their own patch and that sole victory was against Serie A’s bottom club Crotone back in early February.
Prediction:Manchester United to win with over 2.5goals.
