BORUSSIA DORTMUND V PADERBORN
Borussia Dortmund will be looking to build on a 3-1 win over Augsburg when they welcome Paderborn at their Signal Park in the German Cup. Dortmund have slim chances of winning the Bundesliga title, meaning that they will give 100% to go all the way in the DFB Pokal. Since the new boss is going to field the best possible side against Paderborn, I believe that home win should be considered.
Paderborn set up a meeting with Borussia Dortmund by beating Union Berlin on the road, but they will have a much bigger fish to fry in this match. In their last meeting in a competitive match Borussia Dortmund crushed Paderborn 6-1, which is yet another reason why home win should be considered. I pick on more than three goals in this match tonight.
Prediction: over 3.5 goals & 3-1 CS
SWINDON V WIGAN
Swindon Town and Wigan Athletic take on each other at County Ground in a postponed League One fixture. Swindon suffered yet another dip in form, with the team failing to impress in back-to-back defeats to Plymouth and Hull City. Swindon Town failed to find the net in the previous two league fixtures, and as a result, the odds for away win have been dropping.
The visitors, on the other hand, experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 5-0 loss to Blackpool. Wigan Athletic aim to put an end to their three-game winless run, and given Swindon Town’s difficulties in front of goal, I am tempted to pick on a draw. In their last meeting in this venue, Wigan rolled over this host 4-1, but I believe that there is a big value in betting on draw this time out.
Prediction: 2-2 Draw
