RAPID VIENA VS HARTBERG.
Rapid Vienna comfortably dispatched Hartberg in both league meetings last term and Dietmar Kuhbauer’s side should get their 2021/22 Bundesliga campaign off to a winning start when the teams clash at Allianz Stadion this Saturday.
Rapid are still in search of their first Bundesliga title since 2007/08, but they can pleased with their efforts last season after finishing best of the chasing pack behind clear champions Red Bull Salzburg.
The Green and Whites are an extremely strong outfit at home, and they’ve won seven of their last ten starts at Allianz Stadion, keeping clean sheets in five. That spell includes a 4-0 romp over Hartberg here in March, while they also beat their currently manager-less opponents 1-3 at Profertil Arena in December.
Hartberg finished seventh in the regular season before winning the Relegation Round, although they failed to progress into the Europa League and lost three of their last six away trips in 2020/21.
It’s hard to envisage the visitors getting anything from this Saturday’s curtain-raiser and Rapid are backed to make a confident start by winning to nil.
