AS Roma vs Real Sociedad.
Roma, who came in second to Real Betis of La Liga, had to advance via the playoffs. In Group C, Betis overcame them as well. In the playoffs, Jose Mourinho's team faced off against RB Salzburg.
After losing 1-0 in Austria, Mourinho's team came back to Rome knowing they had their work cut out for them. But, a 2-0 victory overcame the defeat, with goals from Andrea Belotti and Paulo Dybala, to reverse the 1-0 setback.
Since returning to La Liga, Roma has seen two very different outcomes. First, they lost to Cremonese for the first time this season before going on to defeat in-form Juventus by a score of 1-0.
Due to their recent poor play, Real Sociedad have lost their firm hold on fourth place and have watched Atletico Madrid slip ahead of them into third.
Sociedad still only trail Atletico by one point and sit three points ahead of Real Betis in fifth place. As a result of Celta Vigo's 1-1 draw with them and their subsequent 1-0 loss to relegation-threatened Valencia, the team enters this match on a three-game losing streak.
The Spanish behemoths drew with a different struggling La Liga team at the same time, and Cadiz earned a point at the Reale Arena.
Their previous triumph came in a stunning 3-2 victory over Espanyol exactly a month ago, with Takefusa Kubo scoring both goals.
For this prediction: AS Roma to win this match or a draw.
