Wednesday 14th July Sure-Bets With Boosted Odds And Both Teams To Score

There is a Buenos Aires derby in the last 16 of the Copa Libertadores on Thursday as heavyweights River Plate come up against Argentinos Juniors.

This will be the first fixture for both sides in over a month ahead of the new domestic season in Argentina but both sides should be well prepared for this clash regardless.

River Plate came in second in the Argentine Primera Division last season with Argentinos in fifth as the league came to an early end and an aggregate table was used to determine final standings.

Argentinos did win the last meeting between the two as they secured a 1-0 success at River Plate in March but historically the games have been close as that result ended a run of four successive draws.

Los Millonarios do have a fairly strong home record with six wins, a draw and three defeats over their last 10 games at El Monumental. Argentinos boast an impressive away record with five wins, two draws and three defeats in their last 10 games and all the signs point to a close battle in South America’s premier club competition on Thursday.

There has been little to separate these two Argentine clubs in their recent meetings and we feel that patter could continue in the Copa Libertadores so a draw stands out here, and 1-1 is an option in the correct score market as that has been the final result in three of the last five meetings between the two sides.
