HONDURAS V CANADA
High-flying Canada will look to retain top position in the standings when they take on Honduras at Estadio Olimpico Metropolitano. The Canucks are on a three-game winning run ahead of the trip to San Pedro Sula, but they do not want to stop now. Even though Bayern Munchen ace Alphonso Davies has been ruled out through illness, we believe that there is a big value in betting on the Canadians.
All Jonathan David, Kyle Larin, and Atiba Hutchinson made the cut. Honduras, on the other hand, are stuck at the bottom of the table with only three points in their pocket. Since los Catrachos are on a four-game losing run in the North & Central America WC qualifiers, we are tempted to put our money on the Canucks. Earlier in the process the two teams played out a 1-1 draw in Toronto.
Prediction:Canada to win.
COSTA RICA V PANAMA
Costa Rica and Panama square off against each other at Estadio Nacional de Costa Rica in what is expected to be a close World Cup qualifier. Los Ticos aim to build on a 2-1 win over Honduras, but this game will be anything but a walk in the park for the hosts. Since all Keylor Navas, Oscar Duarte, Cristian Gamboa, Bryan Oviedo, and Joel Campbell miss out for the hosts, we are not tempted to put our money on Luis Fernando Suarez’s troops.
Los Canaleros, on the other hand, aim to build on back-to-back wins over Honduras and El Salvador. Panama are not regarded as good travelers, which is probably the main reason why the share of spoils is on the cards. Harold Cummings is rated doubtful after he was tested positive for coronavirus, while Cecilio Waterman is out of contention with injury. Ismael Diaz, though, returns to the national team.
Prediction:both teams to score.
COLOMBIA V PERU
Colombia play host to Peru at Estadio Metropolitano Roberto Melendez in round 15 of the South America World Cup qualifiers. La Tricolor aim to retain their spot in top four, but this game will be anything but a walk in the park for the home team. Atalanta attacker Luis Muriel has been ruled out with injury, with Victor Cantillo receiving a call-up.
Since Duvan Zapata is out of contention as well, Falcao Garcia is widely expected to lead the line for the home side. Peru, on the other hand, are level on points with Colombia ahead of Friday’s clash. The two teams seem to be evenly matched at the moment, and, taking everything into account, we believe that there is a big value in betting on draw. A man to watch in the away team will be Gianluca Lapadula, who has netted 9 goals for Benevento in the 2021/2022 season.
Prediction:peru to win.
