Impact of Electric Cars on Developing African Countries

Electric cars are clean to the environment with zero emissions that will practically have a negative impact on the environment.

The idea of driving an electric car is just a wow! No more oil.

However, there are concerning issues on adapting this new car technology in most of the developing African countries.

These electric cars are more expensive than their counterpart gasoline and diesel cars in terms of both costs for acquiring the cars and maintenance costs as well.

We will have to install charging places in almost every place to ensure the cars have enough charge to get them to the next destination.

Trained mechanics and specific service centres for electric cars will have to be established to ensure if the cars break down they can be fixed as soon as possible, a costly process.

Those dealing in oil products may lose jobs if countries in Africa will endorse the car electric car technology fully.
