Plane Crash

How Much one Tyre of a Plane Costs in Kenya Shillings and the Only 3 Companies Making Them Worldwide

Except for helicopters, planes always land with the help of tyres. These tyres are designed in such a way that they can be hidden when the plane is flying and can emerge or be made to do so when the plane is landing. The tyres are slightly bigger than that of ordinary cars and of course, they are not the same.

Planes' tyres are designed in such a way that they can withstand the pressure exerted on them by the plane. They are only four but will bring move the whole plane through the airstrip highway and finally into a constant halt. This they are able to do without bursting. Of course, they are not as prone to bursting as those of cars.

One tyre of a plane costs Ksh 160,000. They are this expensive because of their value. The tyres are filled with nitrogen gas which does not support combustion. This is because the breaks, which are located next to each tyre always heats up to 500°C. If the tyres were filled with oxygen, there is likely to be a fire breakout. They are worth the amount. We only have three companies in the whole world making these tyres. These companies, if it is necessary to mention, include Michelin, Goodyear and Bridgestone.
