Road Accident

Lies told by used car dealers.

If you are in the market for a used car then you should be very careful about what you hear from car dealers and individual car sellers. In this article we shall take a look at some of the catchy phrases used by car dealers.

1.Accident Free.

A car that has been labelled as accident free does not necessarily mean that it has never been involved in any accident. Do your research on the car thoroughly and have a professional mechanic inspect it before you can actually call the car accident free.

2.Lady Owned.

Who said that cars driven by ladies are less troublesome? There is a general misconception that cars driven by ladies are less troublesome and have not been involved in accidents. The truth of the matter is, driving behavior is a personal attribute. Not all men are aggressive drivers and not all ladies are soft drivers.

3.New tires and rims.

Why would someone buy new tires and rims and fit them to a car that they have already used and they want to sell it? This could be a sign that the seller is trying to mask a major underlying issue. Some dealerships however offer new tires and rims as part of a discount. Ensure that you have done proper inspection on the car before purchasing it.

4.Company owned.

This phrase is widely misused in the used car market. Most people think that company owned vehicles have undergone the best maintenance but this may or may not be true depending on the circumstances. Not all companies take good care of their vehicles. Some companies misuse their cars then they dump them in the used car market.

5.Diplomat returning home.

I don't know what a diplomat returning home has to do with the condition of a car. The general assumption is that diplomats do take good care of their vehicles. How do you tell whether this true or not? How sure are you that the car was indeed owned by a diplomat?
