Car Made By A School Dropout In Homabay County

A high school school dropout has amazed residents by building his own car. The young man has built a two seater car complete with all accessories. The school dropout joins a growing list of Kenyans who are venturing in motor industry.

Last year a Kenyan from Laikipia county was licenced by quality assurance and KEBS to start mass production of his model. This was after his car was deemed to pass all safety features. The young man from Homabay has not revealed if he will be seeking to mass produce his car.

Kenyans have been urging the government to support young innovators to achieve their dream. As campaigns heightens, most leaders are promising to support manufacturing industry. William Ruto has said he will seek to continue the Big 4 Agenda by President Uhuru Kenyatta which has manufacturing as a key pillar. Raila Odinga has said his government will give certificates to artisans who lack tertiary training.
