Dr. Fred Matiangi the interior cabinet secretary has announced a mass auction of government vehicles with some going for as low as Ksh.10,000 each.
According to the information received by kenyans.co.ke on Tuesday 15th March 2022, the ministry gave a list of 38 vehicles including Volkswagen Passats as well as Mercedes Benz to be sold.
This exercise is organized to take place at industrial area Remand prison Nairobi county on Friday 8th April 2022 starting from 10.00am morning hours.
The most expensive car on the listed ones will go for Ksh. 650,000 which will be Isuzu while the cheapest one will be bought at Ksh. 10,000 being Daihatsu terios.
"The successful bidder will be required to pay a deposit of 25% of the purchase price by the fall of the hammer. The purchased motor vehicle must be collected from the yard within 30 days from the auction day failure to which a storage fee will be charged at Ksh. 1,000 per day," The C's added.
He added that the successful bidder will be refunded their bid deposits immediately after the auction from the statement he to read.
