The 2021 Kia Sorento is completely redesigned and it sees a host of changes. The base four cylinder engine gains 6 horsepower and the previously optional V6 is replaced by a 281 horsepower turbocharged four cylinder.
Cargo capacity is improved albeit only by a couple of cubic feet and gas mileage ratings go up a few ticks. Notably maximum towing capacity drops by 1,500 pounds following the redesign.
The standard features list is more robust for 2021. New infotainment additions include an 8 inch touch screen and wireless android auto and apple carplay.
Newly standard driver assistance features include forward collision warning automatic emergency braking lane keep assist lane departure warning and driver drowsiness monitoring.
The Sorento sports has a starting price of $29,390. That is a below average starting price for a midsize SUV. The range topping Sorento SX Prestige starts at $40,590.
