The Meanings And Usages Of P, D, N, R, Found In Automatic Car's Gear's.
The automatic car's are the easiest yo drive thanks to it's simple transmission that is not much engaging like that of the manual cars.
These letters P, D, N, R as found in the automatic gear transmission's stands for ‘P’ (Parking), ‘R’ (Reverse), ‘N’ (Neutral) and ‘D’ (Drive).
When the car is in P mode, that is parking, it's used only when the car had stopped as it locks the transmission preventing the car from rolling away.
Reverse (R) mode is only used when the car is reversing.
Neutral (N) can be used when you have stopped for a short period of time and it can be used alongside the handbrake. It's never used when the car is moving.
