The BMW i8 was a plug-in hybrid sports car developed by BMW. The production version of this car was unveiled at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor show. This car was later released to the market in June 2014. The roadster variants was launched in May 2018. BMW stopped the production of this car in June 2020.
The BMW i8 roadster is one of the best looking cars on the road. In my own opinion this car was a great plug-in hybrid alternatives for exotic supercars. The most exciting thing about this car is its fuel consumption. According to fueleconomy.gov the car has an average fuel consumption of 69 miles per gallon. This is equivalent to 29.3 kilometers per liter. Note that this mileage is achieved when a combination of the electric and gas motor is in use. If you use only fuel , the fuel consumption will be 27 miles per gallon.
