Car secrets that an experienced driver should know.

Battery replacement.

The biggest problem comes not from the battery itself but from the wires connected to it. The spots attached to the battery get damaged by corrosion thus the battery does not function as better as before. Experienced drivers fix this problem by pouring a coca-cola drink around the parts attached to the engine to rid off the corrosion. You might want to check your battery first before making a mistake of changing it for better performance since you will be putting your car into a greater risk of malfunctioning. If you are forced to replace the battery, look for the one whose manufacture date is less than a month old to avoid changing it sooner than you would have thought.

Changing oil regularly.

You've probably heard that you need to change the oil in your car after every 3,000 miles. This is not the case since various experts confirm that the oil change should be done after a minimum of 7,500 miles or you can change it even after 10,000 miles. Rather than changing the oil everytime, the only thing you should be concerned about is the oil running out. Some car mechanics may also lie to you that you need to remove dirty oil from your tank but modern cars have a system that burns off the oil as it evaporates thus no need to worry about dirt.

Replacement of brake pads.

Nobody can ignore the terrible screeches of car brakes and most drivers run to the mechanics to get it checked out. The most likely cause of the terrible screeches on the brake pads is rust. What most drivers don't know is that the rust can be easily removed by brushing, scrapping or blasting it off. Some drivers do this themselves through experience but there are those that prefer taking it to the garage. Not all mechanics will tell you that it's a simple rust but are rather prepared to go as far as it takes to get more money out of your pockets by changing your pads.

Free car inspection.

Some car service centers attract customers by promising free inspection. The mechanics after doing tones of checkups, they will lie to you that your car is problematic thus need to be fixed right away. Don't fall for their tricks since they will be luring you to use a lot of money when your car is actually better off. It's good to consult your trusted mechanic when you know that it has a problem somewhere.

Use of car services to boost performance.

Some mechanics will insist that your car won't function properly without certain car services for example coolant flushes, power steering and so on. According to specialists, your car will only need these services when one prefers to have them installed in their vehicles. Be a smart driver and avoid being cheated for this or that reason. Do what you feel is right for the proper functioning of your car.
