The Tuareg has been a part of Volkswagens line up of vehicles since 2002. VW naming it after the Tuareg People who call the Saharan Desert home. The car itself was developed alongside its cousins the Porsche Cayenne and the Audi Q7.
The R model comes with the option for 20 inch wheels which when put together with its black detailing on the grille air intake sills mirror housing and tail lamp lenses.
VW has not messed about with the interior as much as the exterior. For all this though the Touareg R model is priced between $88,874 (£65,000) to $95,711 (£70,000).The Touareg R has a 3.0 liter turbocharged V6 making 335 bhp with a hybrid electric motor producing an extra 134 bhp. Which gives your right foot access to a total of 469 bhp and 700Nm of torque. This hybrid system allows the Touareg R to travel at 87 mph by just using electric power.
Overall the Touareg suffers from being the younger brother to the more premium options that you can get from Porsche or Audi so it is often overlooked.
