This car is very small when it comes to size but very efficient when it comes to fuel consumption. It has a fuel consumption rate of 36km/l making it the most fuel efficient car you can buy in Kenya. The Honda fit hybrid is a five door car with a 1.5 i-VTEC engine with a 100kW(134bhp) and 134 Nm of torque.
3. Toyota fielder hybrid.
The Toyota fielder is the wagon version of the Toyota Axio. When it comes to fuel reliability, the Toyota fielder and Toyota Axio hybrid have a fuel consumption rate of 33.8 km/l. The Toyota fielder hybrid is a front wheel drive and a 5 door estate/station wagon body style. It has a 1.5 litre naturally aspirated engine, double overhead camshaft, 4 cylinder that develops 73 bhp (74 PS/54 kW) of power at 4800 rpm, and maximum torque of 111 N·m (82 lb·ft/11.3 kgm) at 3600-4400 rpm.
4. Toyota Prius.
The Prius is considered to bee the best selling hybrid car onthe market.The Toyota Prius has a 1798cc Petrol Engine. It has an average fuel consumption rate of 26.27 kmpl and a ground clearance of 135mm. The Prius is a 5 seater 4 cylinder car and has length of 4540mm, width of 1760mm and a wheelbase of 2700mm.
5. Honda Insight.
The Honda Insight is a hybrid vehicle that has a fuel efficiency of between 22km/l to 34km/l depending on your climatic conditions and driving habits. This car is a five door sedan witha maximum power of 111ps.
6. Nissan Leaf.
Most of you might wonder why i would list an electric vehicle to be fuel efficient and yet it does not use fuel. The only reason why i included the Nissan leaf in the list is mainly because it is the cheapest electric car that you can buy in Kenya. Apart from being cheap, there are many people who own this vehicle hence its spares are easily available. The Nissan Leaf comes with a 40KWh battery with an approximated range of between 160km to 335km depending on the weather conditions.
