23 Die in Truck Crash While Going Home

A track carrying migrant labourers in Northern India has killed at least 23 people and 35 injured. According to the tweet sent by Reuters, the 23 labourers have died while trying to reach their distant home. 35 others were left with injuries according to reports from Reuters.

The incident occurred on Saturday 16th of May, before day break when the truck collided with another truck that was parked by a roadside eatery in Auraiya district. 20 people are said to be diagnosed with serious injuries while the other survivors were left with minor injuries.

The migrants were hailing from the state of Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal. This happened after India imposed a serious lockdown restrictions amid corona virus pandemic. With no work, On Friday, UP's Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ordered bereaucrats and police officers across the nation to arrange for transportation means for migrants back to their home town in which he insisted that no one should walk, cycle or travel by truck.
